Rental Agreement & Terms

Introduction

These terms and conditions, as may be amended from time to time, apply to all our services directly or indirectly (through distributors) made available online, through any mobile device, by email or by telephone. By accessing, browsing and using our website or any of our applications through whatever platform (hereafter collectively referred to as the "website") and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below (including the privacy statement).

These pages, the content and infrastructure of these pages, and the online reservations service provided on these pages and through the website Dunlop Car Hire are provided for you subjected to the terms and conditions set out below.

1. Renter/Lessee Responsibilities

• Renter/Lessee is responsible for arranging, maintaining and keeping security precautions for the vehicle whilst it is in his/her possession
• Renter must agree to pay any charges, penalty fine or other costs incurred with respect to the vehicle during the rental period
• Any extra hour extended will attract a fixed charge of Ksh 1000 with prior communication from 11:30pm to 6:30am
• If the car is damaged/scratched/lost any part, the renter must not carry out repairs - return the car for assessment by our approved garage
• All repair costs will be billed to the renter
• All Fuel used shall be paid for by the Renter
• The Renter will pick a clean car and upon returning Ksh 300 will be paid for car wash
• The Renter should clearly state the destination of the journey and the route the vehicle will be using

2. Vehicle Use Restrictions

• The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers or property for hire
• The rented vehicle shall not be used to carry passengers other than in the interior or cab of the vehicle
• The vehicle should not cross the borders of the republic of Kenya
• The rented vehicle shall not be used to push, propel or tow another vehicle, trailer or any other thing without written permission
• The rented vehicle shall not be used for any race or competition
• The rented vehicle shall not be used for any illegal goods and services & products (e.g Bang, Sandal wood & Animal Products)
• The Renter shall not operate the vehicle in a negligent manner
• Renter should contact our office immediately in case of any inconvenience

3. Prices and Best Price Guarantee

• All prices on the website are displayed including VAT tax and all other taxes (subject to change)
• The currency converter is for information purposes only; actual rates may vary
• Obvious errors and mistakes (including misprints) are not binding
• All special offers and promotions are marked as such

4. Cancellation Policy

By making a reservation with us, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy, and to any additional terms and conditions that may apply to your reservation or during your travel. Please note that certain rates or special offers are not eligible for cancellation or change. Late payment, wrong bank details, invalid cards or insufficient funds are for your own risk and account.

5. Further Correspondence

By completing a booking, you agree to receive (i) a pre-arrival email with destination information and relevant offers, and (ii) a post-stay email inviting you to complete our guest review form.

6. Ranking and Guest Reviews

The default ranking of car hire services is "Recommended". Reviews may be used on our website, social media platforms, newsletters, promotions, or other channels owned by us. We reserve the right to adjust, refuse or remove reviews at our sole discretion.

7. Miscellaneous

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Kenyan law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts in Kenya. The UK English version of these terms shall prevail over any translations.
